When possible and in the area you live, we have recently been able to deliver to peoples houses etc so that they can try the body protector in the comfort of there own home. This has provided an excellent service for people that are tied up at work for long hours.
As well as the obvious protection from shock absorption, the jacket distributes pressure and, above all, effectively makes the spine column rigid so that the neck and trunk have limited movement.
For your protection, a simple “click” is all it takes to connect you to the saddle. If you are unseated or thrown from a horse the airbag system is designed to be effective in 0.1seconds
The coiled wire of the jacket connects with the holding strap placed at the saddle. After the rider has mounted the saddle, he or she clips the 2 ends together. The coiled wire enables full movement in all directions for the rider. The airbag will only be activated if the rider is separated from the horse. The airbag jacket will then inflate within 0.1 seconds, protecting the all important areas of the body, the neck, ribs and coccyx.
Q. Is the jacket reusable?
A. Yes, the Point Two air jackets are reusable. You only need to replace the CO2 cylinder after each inflation & reset the activation key into the trigger mechanism. You must check your jacket carefully for damage after every inflation or a fall.
Q. Can the CO2 cylinder be reused?
A. No, each CO2 cylinder can only be used once & then must be replaced.
Q. What parts of my body are protected by the Point two air jacket?
A. The Neck, Spine, Coccyx & Rib Cage, are the main parts of the upper body that are protected. The air jackets also give fantastic impact protection.
Q. Does the jacket need to be serviced?
A. We recommend that you have your jacket serviced after a heavy fall & impact with the ground & at least once every 12 months.
Q. Can I wear my air jacket underneath other clothing?
A. The Point Two air jackets have been designed primarily as outerwear. We would not recommend that you put anything over the top of your air jacket. You could however wear a very loose fitting High-Vis vest or jacket over the top as long as there is enough space for the air jacket to inflate unhindered & provide the maximum amount of protection.
Q. How is my air jacket activated?
A. The lanyard attaches to the saddle & the jacket. In the event of the rider separating from the saddle the lanyard will pull the activation key from the jacket. Once the activation key has been pulled from the jacket it releases the CO2 in to the airbag system & inflates the air jacket in 0.1s.
Q. How much does the "Model D" jacket weigh??
A. Approximately 900grams
Q. Is the air jacket BETA approved?
A. The Point Two air jackets are currently not BETA approved. They have been designed as a top up protection system to wear along side a BETA approved body protector. As there is no BETA approved apparel that is able to offer protection to the Neck & Coccyx areas or offer the impact protection that the Point Two air jacket can.
Q. Can I compete in the Point Two air jackets?
A.YES you can wear the PRO AIR jackets as long as you are wearing it on top of an approved body protector as this is a lot lighter in weight.
