Velari Snaffle Soft Flex Loose Ring Soft
Love this bit already — it’s basically the “gentle yoga instructor” of the tack room. Soft, forgiving, and designed for horses that absolutely do not appreciate drama in their mouths
The Soft Flex Loose Ring Soft Snaffle is designed for the most sensitive horses — the ones who tell you immediately when something feels even slightly wrong.
Built-in bit guards prevent the lips from touching the metal rings, so the horse only makes contact with the soft synthetic outer layer. This ultra-supple coating is toxin-free, smooth, and designed for safe daily use. Horses that resist rigid or metal mouthpieces often show improved relaxation and salivation with this forgiving material.
The straight bar mouthpiece avoids the nutcracker effect of jointed bits. Instead, it softly follows the natural shape of the horse’s mouth. Thanks to its internal flexible core, it cushions rein aids and smooths out pressure, encouraging the horse to stretch forward and down into a steady, confident contact.
At 20mm thick, pressure is distributed more broadly across the tongue and bars, making it especially suitable for delicate mouths.
The loose rings allow the mouthpiece to move freely, promoting light chewing activity and maintaining a soft, elastic connection. This mobility supports precise aids while keeping the contact responsive and adaptable throughout the ride.
