The Comfort versions use Kentucky’s pressure-free chest buckle that takes the load off the sternum and replaces the traditional metal buckle setup.

Belly cover and eczema options sit alongside for horses with heightened sensitivity. The belly cover version adds an integrated belly flap secured with multiple clips to protect the underside from midge bites, anchored by elastic belly straps for a tailored fit, while the dedicated eczema sweet itch rug extends the neckpiece up to the ears and uses a quick-dry fabric specifically chosen to prevent the sweating and secondary skin infections that can worsen sweet itch flare-ups.

Waterproof versions handle the British problem of summer showers landing on horses already wearing a fly rug. The standard waterproof fly rug uses Kentucky’s 600D ripstop polyester on the back panel (the same fabric as their classic turnout rugs) with a lightweight breathable construction across the rest of the body, and the waterproof combo version pairs the ripstop back with breathable mesh sides and a detachable neck for adaptable summer cover.
