External Applications such as ice cooling gels and ointments are the perfect remedy for refreshing your horse’s tired legs. Perfect after periods of prolonged exercise and excessive strain and also in the case of picking up an injury. The ice cooling gels and ointments can very quickly ease a horse of its aches and pains.

Equine America is leader in the market when it comes to these applications and the main brand we stock for this kind of therapy. Equine America Like Ice for example, is a cooling clay that works by soothing, cooling and moisturising. Great for easing swelling around fetlocks, legs and tired tendons. The soothing relief from the kaolin base enables the clay to deliver fast and effective results. We stock this in two sizes, at 2.7kg and 11kg.

An alternative product we offer also is Equine America Green Ice Gel. This product stands out for being very easy to use and apply and is especially effective for sore muscles and puffy joints and also perfect for use after exercise and competition. Also, once used it doesn’t need to be rinsed off. It is available in a 1.5kg tub.
