Velari Eggbut Soft Flex Soft Bit
The Eggbutt Soft Flex Soft Bit is specifically designed for the most sensitive horses, offering exceptional comfort and a reassuring feel in the mouth. Integrated bit guards help prevent the lips from coming into contact with metal, ensuring the horse only feels the soft, flexible material.
The ultra-supple mouthpiece encourages relaxation, chewing, and a steady, confident contact. Its outer layer is made from a soft, non-toxic synthetic compound, developed for safe daily use. The smooth surface protects delicate oral tissue, while the flexible inner core allows the bit to gently adapt to the shape and movement of the horse’s mouth. Horses that are uncomfortable in rigid or metal bits often respond with improved relaxation and increased salivation when ridden in this material.
The straight bar mouthpiece follows the natural contours of the horse’s mouth and avoids the nutcracker effect associated with jointed bits. Its high level of flexibility cushions rein aids and softens pressure, making it easier for sensitive horses to stretch forward and down into a comfortable, trusting contact. With a 20mm thickness, pressure is distributed evenly, offering extra comfort for delicate tongues and bars.
Finished with Eggbutt rings, the bit remains stable in the mouth, reducing lateral movement and creating a quieter feel. This added stability suits horses that prefer consistent, predictable contact and supports a soft yet secure connection throughout the ride.
