Acavallo specialises in gel products designed to absorb shock and reduce pressure points. The Italian brand’s gel is antibacterial, non toxic and non slip, making it suitable for use directly against the horse’s skin or tack.
Saddle Pads and Half Pads
Acavallo gel saddle pads and half pads sit between the saddle and the horse’s back to cushion impact during work. The gel moulds to the shape of the horse and stays in place without sliding. These pads suit horses with sensitive backs or saddles that need minor fit adjustments.
Bit Guards and Mouth Protection
Acavallo bit guards protect the corners of the mouth from rubbing and pinching. The gel construction is softer than traditional rubber alternatives and conforms to the shape of the bit ring. Curb guards are also available for horses wearing curb chains.
Care and Maintenance
All Acavallo gel products are simple to maintain. Wash in warm water without detergent and allow to drip dry. The gel retains its properties wash after wash and can be trimmed to shape if needed for a custom fit.
