This section of the Kentucky Horsewear rug range is focused on temperature management after exercise and during stable or travel use, rather than outdoor turnout protection. The cooler sheets are the centrepiece of the range, using spacer fabric technology to draw sweat and moisture away from the coat so a hot horse dries evenly without chilling. The 3D and 4D spacer versions use honeycomb-structured fabric that sits slightly proud of the body, creating air channels across the whole surface, while the mesh combo options combine this with a more traditional wicking fleece layer for colder conditions. The Fleece Cooler Rug uses a soft fleece construction with an artificial sheepskin wither pad, making it a warmer option for use on cool autumn days or when a horse needs to stand for a while after work.

The cotton sheets serve a different purpose, providing a clean, smart layer for the stable or travelling. At 285gsm the cotton is substantial enough to offer some warmth and dust protection without weight, and the style works well under a stable rug when temperatures drop. They’re also a popular choice for show preparation, keeping a groomed coat clean overnight before competition. The Waterproof Fly Rug is the one outdoor product in the collection, combining a mesh body with a detachable neck and waterproof finish, which places it closer to the fly rugs in function despite sitting in this category.
