Sheepskin Accessories

Sheepskin padding and covers help prevent rubbing and reduce pressure points on your horse. We stock a range of faux sheepskin accessories from Kentucky Horsewear and KM Elite Products, all designed with comfort in mind.

The Kentucky Horsewear range uses their Save the Sheep artificial sheepskin, which is soft, durable, and machine washable at 30°C. For horses that are sensitive around the nose, the Sheepskin Noseband Cover helps cushion pressure from nosebands and can also help encourage horses to lower their head carriage. It attaches with Velcro and comes in natural, black, and brown. The Sheepskin Breastplate Cover provides similar protection for horses wearing breastplates and martingales.

If your horse tends to get rubs from the girth area, the Kentucky Replacement Sheepskin Anatomic Girth Covers fit Kentucky anatomic girths and are available in natural, black, and brown. Many riders use the darker colours for everyday work and keep natural for shows. For stud girths, there is also a dedicated Sheepskin Stud Girth Cover.

The Sheepskin Head Collar Set is a four piece set that wraps around your head collar to prevent rubbing on the nose and poll. It is particularly useful for horses that spend long periods in their head collar or have sensitive skin.

For grooming, the Grooming Deluxe Sheepskin Grooming Mitt uses artificial sheepskin to lift dust and add shine to the coat. It is washable and completely animal friendly.
