Bombers Bit Happy Tongue Pelham
The Happy Tongue Pelham is suitable for horses that often head shake or try to put their tongue over the bit. The pelham has rings for the use of two reins. One positioned near the mouthpiece and one at the end of the shank. Using two reins will have similar action to the curb and bradoon reins in a double bridle. Should you want to use just one set of reins, then you can of course purchase a pelham rounding to adapt the bit.
For you information. A horse that is often seen shaking its head when bit pressure is applied and also pushing its tongue over the bit, trying to escape the pressure are signs that the horse has a sensitive tongue.
As a result the Happy Tongue mouth piece was created. Made with a medium port, this creates space for the horses tongue and in turn relieves the pressure, allowing the horse to relax.
The Happy Tongue is a solid mouth piece that is curved and ported to give tongue relief.
