How Does The Point Two Air Jacket Work?
A CO2 canister inflates the air jacket. This is stored at the front of the air jacket. The canister is activated in the split of a second, when the rider separates from the saddle. This is by the automatic release of the fitted lanyard.
The Point Two Lanyard (supplied) attaches to the saddle. Clip the lanyard on and off and time of mount and dismount.
The Air Jacket protects the rider and holds them snug for 8-10 seconds and then slowly deflates. The rider still has complete movement of their waist, arms and also legs, if the air jacket is inflated.
Air Jacket Protection
The Point Two Air Jacket works in three ways. It distributes pressure, absorbs shock and will also support the spinal column in the event of a fall.
During inflation, the airbag system offers the collar of the neck and trunk more support. As a result this therefore helps to reduce the risk of over bending of the spinal column.
Air Jacket and Rider Safety
The safest way to wear the Point Two Air Jacket is in conjunction with a conventional body protector. Some riders who use an Air Jacket at home or while hunting tell us they prefer to use it on its own. Previously the riders would have worn no safety equipment at all.
For competitions in the United Kingdom. Organisers rules state that the rider must also wear a BETA approved Level 3 body protector.

The Point Two Air Jackets are fully reusable, and require servicing annually or after every six falls.
All Point Two Air jackets come ready to use with bungee lanyard, saddle attachment and also two canisters. One in the jacket and a spare.
A spare canister is also sold with an Air Vest. This enables the rider to experience a test inflation of their new garment.
We recommended riders take advantage of this, so they know how the system works. As a result this allows the rider to feel how the jacket works prior to a real accident.
