The longer the scissors of the hackamore, the stronger the effect. This combination with short scissors has a less sharp effect than the long shank combination hackamore. These bits are often used on very enthusiastic horses in the course. Due to the leverage, this is a fairly sharp bit and therefore not suitable for an inexperienced rider.
